Anh An Adventure – HAWAII
My mom calls me homeless. My friends call me a nomad. I call myself Anh (like on and off).
In 2016, I traveled to 33 cities, 7 countries, and 75,632 miles. That’s enough miles to circle earth 3.04 times. 😱
I often was asked “Where are you going next Anh?”
Each time I struggled to give an answer because I didn’t even know where I was going next most of the time. So my solution?
“I’m going on an adventure!” I said. That was the only thing in my life I was certain about at that moment.
Was I really homeless? Well, technically yes because I didn’t have a permanent address.
But a “home” to me wasn’t defined by an address. Home to me is just a point of view.
My sanctuary is within my mind. I feel most safe and secure as long as I am conscious no matter where I’m physically located.
When I detached myself from the physical realm of a home, I began Anh An Adventure.
Anh An Adventure is a series that I am still documenting today about my life experiences.
My intention for this series is not to boast about where I’ve been and what I’ve done but rather to prove that it can be done.
Here is the first episode of Anh An Adventure:
What you saw was just 3 minutes and 24 seconds of my 10 days in Hawaii! It’s impossible to truly capture this experience, but I’ll do my best to share with you my adventure. 🙂
The most frequent question I often get is “how do you vacation so much?”.
The answer is…none of my traveling was a vacation. I didn’t have a home to be away from nor did I ever stop working.
You’re probably thinking “then how the hell did you work while swimming with sea turtles then?”.
Okay, you got me… I wasn’t working while I was doing everything in that video. ☝🏻BUT there wasn’t a day I didn’t balance out my activities with productivity.
The adventure isn’t just night diving with manta rays or being 20 feet away from an active volcano. The adventure is the process AND the outcome. What’s shown in the video is just a highlight reel of what I’ve done.
Here’s what my days ACTUALLY looked like:
4:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Meetings & Productivity
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Lunch & Nap
2:00 PM – 11:00 PM: Explore Hawaii
11:00 PM – 4:00 AM: Sleep
The only way I was able to do this efficiently was by resource management.
By resources, I mean my time, energy, and focus.
My time was uninterrupted because everyone around me knew I was in “do not disturb” mode during my meetings and productivity period.
My focus was 100% on the task at hand. I wasn’t thinking about lunch, upcoming activities, the weather, or anything else. I totally forgot I was even in Hawaii during that time.
My energy was at it’s peak because I was in ketosis and had a full sleep cycle. (Yes, I only sleep 4-5 hours a night. I’ll go in more detail on how I trained my body for 2 years to operate on 4-5 hours of rest in a future post… if you’re interested 😉)
I do pay some credit to Charles Ngo who has given me opportunity to do what I love and love what I do from anywhere in the world. I am absolutely convinced that your best self, best work, and best creations are outcomes of operating in a state of physical, mental, and emotional freedom. So if you’re not working remote yet, I highly recommend it. 👍🏻
I also wouldn’t be in Hawaii if not for my big brother and sister-in-law to take me in and show me around.
I love you guys! Ohana forever! ❤️🐢
There is no video or photo I could show you that could possibly capture the true beauty of Hawaii.
You just have to go see it for yourself!
